The Finance and Administration Shared Services Department (FASS) provides department-level administrative services to groups across the University in three areas: Business Operations, Human Resources, and Information Technology. The mission of the Finance and Administration Shared Service team is to provide professional and timely service, offering our expertise in a wide variety of functions. FASS is committed to providing superior customer service and creating partnerships with clients to ensure their needs are fulfilled to the highest standard. The FASS unit provides administrative services for 20+ departments across several portfolios. These units supported by FASS constitute multiple large business enterprises consisting of more than 900 employees and a total operating budget of over $135 million. The vision is to develop a service organization that competes with the best in conveying expertise, efficiency, and service quality while creating a conduit for centralized policies and procedures to quickly and appropriately disseminate to various departments.

Shared Services Human Resources

The mission of the Shared Services Human Resources group is to provide centralized service, offering our expertise in a wide variety of functions including acting as a liaison to University HR, staff and student recruitments, employee relations, workforce planning, training, and payroll administration. Shared Services Human Resources is committed to providing superior customer service and creating partnerships with customers to ensure their needs are fulfilled to the highest standards.

Shared Services Information Technology

As part of the Transform IT Initiative, User Support Services (USS) provides desktop support to CPFM, Safety and Risk Services, Transportation Services, Print Services, and the Vivian Olum Child Development Center. FASS IT provides desktop support to the Safety and Risk Emergency Operations Center, Utilities and Energy, UOPD, and FASS as these units provide mission-critical functions. FASS IT provides business analysis and reporting as well as application and systems administration support.
